The University of Toronto’s Excellence Through Innovation Award (ETIA) recognizes the contributions of administrative staff in advancing the University’s strategic objectives, encouraging administrative innovation, and providing a platform for sharing best practices. ETIA is an opportunity to celebrate improved practices within every area of our work and to let the employees know how significant their contributions are.

ETIA recognizes innovation and significant contributions by individuals or teams towards one or more of the following strategic objectives:
- Enrich the student experience.
- Promote equity and diversity in all of our activities.
- Enrich the employee experience.
- Elevate administration and operational processes through innovation.
- Foster community connection through innovative services.
Eligibility
- Professional & Managerial Staff, Confidential, Advancement Professionals, and Unionized administrative (non-academic) employees are eligible for both individual and team contribution nominations.
- Any staff member may nominate individuals / teams for the award. Nominees considered for this program must be in good standing and demonstrate a high standard of performance in their daily responsibilities. If you are not the individual’s manager, consult with the nominee’s supervisor before starting a nomination.
